Psychotherapy

In psychotherapy, the focus is to help one better understand themselves and develop healthier ways to cope with challenges, improve their relationships, and make positive changes in their lives. Therapy is tailored to each person’s unique needs and can address a wide range of issues, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and stress. Using a psychodynamic approach, we will explore past experiences and unconscious thoughts and feelings to understand patterns in one’s behavior and emotional responses.

Psychoanalysis

In psychoanalysis, we focus on exploring unconscious thoughts, feelings, and memories that may be influencing a one’s behavior and emotional well-being. Developed by Sigmund Freud in the early 20th century, it’s based on the idea that many of our mental struggles stem from unresolved issues or suppressed feelings that we’re often unaware of. Psychoanalysis aims to bring these hidden factors to light, helping one understand and resolve them in a safe, structured way.

Sessions are typically more frequent, typically 3 to 4 times a week. Sessions involve open dialogue, where the person can freely share thoughts, dreams, memories, and feelings. Techniques such as free association (saying whatever comes to mind), analyzing dreams, and exploring past relationships and experiences are commonly used.

Through this process, psychoanalysis helps individuals gain insight into deep-seated issues, which may be contributing to patterns of anxiety, depression, or interpersonal challenges. It often requires a significant time commitment, as it digs deeply into the root causes of psychological distress. However, for many people, the self-awareness and relief it provides can lead to lasting emotional growth, healthier relationships, and improved quality of life.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical supervision is a structured, supportive process in which the supervisee will receive essential feedback, skill development, and professional support. Through regular, confidential sessions, we discuss challenging cases, explore therapeutic approaches, and provide guidance on complex clinical issues, all of which foster personal and professional growth.
